Pisces
New Moon Meditation
by Karri

With the fragile promise
of Imbolc behind us; the Goddess as bride, expectant, the stirrings of
rebirth grow stronger. Spring is coming. Our bodies ache to stretch and
move. As we arch from the pull of Mercury retrograde, and gratefully turn
to this Pisces New Moon, let us breathe deeply, and surrender to the mysterious.
"Into the mystic," Van Morrison
wrote. Appropriate words for a Pisces New Moon journey. A watery meditation
feels perfect for the lessons of these ancient oceanic energies.
Surrender to the Dark
of the Unknown
On the night of the Pisces
New Moon draw a bath and choose music that evokes the mystical, and inspires
you to dream. Light candles of sea green, aqua blue and lavender. Gather
seaside treasures for your altar; shells and gull feathers, softened sea
glass and smooth stones. Stir sea salt into your bath water and swirl with
your fingers until it dissolves. Immerse your body and relax. Add drops
of lavender oil and jasmine. Breathe...
Surrender to the dark of
the unknown. Trust in your body's wisdom as you float into the mystic.
Let the tides take you in their deep and ancient rhythms. Allow emotions
to surface. Let go of the intellect and the inner critic. Pisces honors
the feminine, the instinctual, passive yet fluid. Breathe and let go.
Allow visual images to rise. Swim with their energies. Invite your intuition
to reveal a truth.
Rather than setting goals
and intentions with conscious effort and focus, this New Moon teaches us
another path: The way of the mystic; fluid, receptive, empathic. It is
a time to honor our intuition and open to possibility. To yield to the
Mystery. To loosen our collective grip on the external: active, striving,
competing. The distractions of our achievements can deafen our ears to
the simple truths that Pisces teaches us...we are, all, an aspect of each
other, interconnected, moving in opposites creating the whole. We
are the source, and contain all we need in this moment. So breathe deeply.
Receive. And flow with the
Piscean tide.
