Heaven
Is A Roadless Area
by Anna Duval
Pisces
and the last month of winter are upon us. Ice packs begin
their melting down the long flow into the sea. The Sun is
slowly getting higher in the sky. Ready gardeners emerge from
hibernation to grab the few hours of extra warmth each day,
working to cleanse away debris and rotting leaves, eager to
find out what the gods of dark and cold have allowed to survive
through the long winter. Imbolc, the Celtic celebration
that honors the growing power of light, has come and gone,
as a check point to ask: "What are we manifesting? Are
we on the best path to fulfillment of this new year?"
But there
is still the month of Pisces to work with: the cleansing,
the letting go, the re-member-ing of our connection to Source
and Soul. In the Chinese tradition of the 5 Elements, water
(the element of Pisces) is the element of winter. With water
the energy is falling, flowing downward, melting or dissolving,
and surrendering back into Source. The energies of the passing
cycle have condensed down to essence, and all that survives
is the hard nugget of seed that simply must return to Source
for rest, gestation, and nourishment to begin again. Whatever
is not compatible with, and therefore nourished by, Source,
will die away. This is Pisces!
In Pisces
we experience emotions, challenges and blessings. The key
is to open in surrender. Trust and let the feelings flow.
This process can't happen in your mind alone. You won't be
able to plan, control or anticipate what will come. Heaven
is a roadless area! So this trusting heart may take some practice
to develop.
In prayer
my guides told me, "You need to cry." I responded, "For how
long? I've cried so much...how many tears can one person cry?
I don't want to keep perpetuating my grief!" My guides said:
"Cry until you truly unlock the Flow of feeling.
The Flow has no end, and it is not all grief! Tears come as
an overwhelm of feeling, and, after you've released pent-up
emotions from the past, you are free to feel in the now...sorrow
and joy, compassion, beauty, anger and awe. So much more than
grief, in the present moment your feeling perceptions and
intuitions can flow now, too. This feeling connection to the
Source of Nourishment allows and initiates your connection
to others, to self, and to the Divine! Feelings are the
Source of creative life, that which propels you, as desire,
into experience!"
In the
creative cycle of the 5 Elements, water creates wood. Wood
represents growth and excitement, and leads to social connections.
Without our Source/Soul connection in water, where can wood
take us? What will there be to get excited about, and to devote
ourselves to? How will our relationships and creative endeavors
endure and blossom without the firm foundation in the realm
of Soul? This Pisces new moon is conjunct Uranus...the
well of creative power is being purified. What are the
messages you're receiving through your feeling body? How can
you embrace and further the opportunities to cleanse? Give
way, open your heart, and drink of the Divine!
Quan
Yin, Chinese goddess of love and compassion, lives in the
realm of watery Pisces, along with her sister goddesses around
the world. Quan Yin floats in her lotus-boat upon the sea,
and pours forth the waters of grace from her chalice. Spend
time this season with the compassionate goddess who most speaks
to you. Daily I use the following prayer for healing and
strength. I offer it to you now for support in your own healing
and awakening during this Piscean season.
Meditate
on the Mother
with the White Garment,
holder of Radiant Light,
who has the affectionate glance,
beautiful eyes,
capturing god's love,
a radiant smile,
a face adorned with auspiciousness...
Love
nectar she gives so sweetly.
She sings devotional songs most sweetly.
Her complexion resembles
that of the rainclouds...
her words soaked in honey...
She is Bliss Immortal!
My Ishtadevi,
I worship her!
