New Moon 'Scope

There’s a cosmic gift this Libra New Moon:  a grand air trine to Neptune and Saturn!

This means that everybody gets two new angels for the next twenty nine days.  Saturn’s angel has sturdy arms and is forever rolling up his sleeves, and yes, that's right:  stroking his long white beard are fingers made of lead.  He’s a useful sort, particularly if hard work looms ahead of you.  He can get positively giddy facing a mountain of school assignments.  Or maybe you didn’t achieve that slim summer physique you wanted; with this angel’s help, a disciplined regime will seem quit reasonable now.  You wanna make him really happy?  Hand him the plans for a new project that will keep you going throughout the Fall.  Summon him by bathing your heart in guilt.  Or building a belly full of resolve.

You can’t quite see the other angel behind all that gossamer and mist.  Quick, there she is, sparkling in the sunlit dew on your garden roses, tickling your nose with the scent, circling the skies above you with bright puffy clouds.  She will whisper sweet somethings all month:  “Go ahead, imagine it!” she says. “Dream something really good.”  She’ll soften your heart.  Yes, that’s you with a glowing new empathy for the ones who used to bug you.  Spend enough time with Neptune's angel and you’ll start knowing things you swear you couldn’t know, like what’s gonna happen in your future or the secrets the people around you aren’t telling.  Summon her by tapping on your heart three times (one for each prong of Neptune’s trident). 

Don’t believe me?  Well, grand trines do have a nasty habit of remaining in your head.  If you're stuck in concepts this lunar month, then you might as well pick up a good book and learn something.  Or, look to Venus, Libra’s ruler.  She’s sextiling Mars.  Make yourself pretty and find an action-loving warrior to join you (or vice versa).  Meaning:  get moving!  But very gracefully.  Think Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire.  (Or possibly Britney and Justin...  Grace is allowed to reinvent herself with the times.)

Joining retrograde Saturn, Jupiter retrogrades on September 29 til January 25 next year (Saturn goes direct January 24).  Spoil sports say this puts everything on hold.  Wise ones say dig deep for the inner resolve and plan something amazing for the end of January.  The readiness is all. 
 

October Astrology Highlights

LIBRA (September 23-October 22): Do not expect the big issues of Love and Money to run smoothly this month. Too many astrological glitches from October 18 onward when Mercury turns Retrograde. Organizing and coordinating for efficiency and improvement are favored on October 17 with some smooth talking and October 23 with persistent efficiency.

SCORPIO ( October 23-November 21): If you are a Scorpio who likes intensity and complications, this month you will be licking your lips and pointing your finger, "I told you so!" Quietly stand back and watch others make all of the mistakes. "Status quo" your thing? On October 19, 23 and 31, come in and straighten all the miscalculations and misunderstandings. 

SAGITTARIUS (November 22-December 21): When life gets complicated, it’s time for you to take off. October 10, a cute friend and the Bahamas are a good combination! If you miss this opportunity, you will become acutely aware that the world is spinning in slow motion this month. Excitement can come on October 8 and 29-30 with tempestuous entanglements in love and money. 

CAPRICORN (December 22-January 19): Flexibility and a good sense of what needs to be done in a crisis garner success. Ethics and moderation will be significant on October 4. Investments will bring losses on October 8, 21, 27-30. A conservative approach works best, especially on October 15 and 23. Cut costs, trim expenses and work within strict boundaries. 

AQUARIUS (January 20-February 17): Once again, your space needs are disrupted but this time by people who just cannot do anything right! Being too individualistic can prove costly in matters of the heart and finances on October 8. The October 12 Full Moon will make you aware of relating problems. By October 16-17, be flexible, work only with contingencies. 

PISCES (February 18-March 19): Bringing order out of chaos or just avoiding it all together are your strengths. Such talents will be especially useful in October! October 10 is a wonderful time for romance and socializing. What begins on October 15 will find two parts being dropped, canceled or blocked. Business agreements and relationships will prove costly on October 27-28 – get out early!

ARIES (March 20-April 19): For a sign that wants everything yesterday, waiting until next month will be trying. By October 12, you will become aware of problems that must be addressed. Take immediate action and do it your way! Business and romantic relationships will be turbulent on October 29-30. Arguing your point will get you no where.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Business and personal affairs will unfold very slowly this month. This is fine when it allows you not to feel rushed but over-whelming when you cannot control the pace. Relax, just let it go and use the well aspected dates to enjoy and indulge - October 4, 10, 17, 23 and 31. Avoid expenditures and investments on October 4, 8, 21, 27 & 28.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Let the Earth signs deal with finances this month. Discussions and networking will prove more satisfying. Remember, there are at least 200 solutions to any one problem. All you have to do is think of one of them. This is how you will shine, especially on October 10, 16, 17,19...but arm yourself with the facts on the 23rd!

CANCER (June 21-July 22): Be sensitive to trends and navigate with intuition this month. At least two items will be dropped from the agenda begun on October 15. This can work to your benefit when costly frills get discarded. Be persistent on October 23. The course is slow but it can be highly successful.

LEO (July 23-August 22): Do not over-extend yourself or over-react to criticism on October 4. By day’s end, ethics will prevail and success earned. There will be a lot of talk on October 16-17 but plans will change by the 18 when Mercury turns retrograde. Be flexible but be guarded in expressing your opinion. It will change!

VIRGO (August 23-September 22): Working behind the scenes, picking up the pieces and taking over where others are left scratching their heads are your tasks this month. October 10 is a good day to take a break, get a little TLC from nurturing Pisces and ask a friend to help you out. You can’t do it all yourself. No one really expects this.
